Howard Van Doren Shaw practiced architecture in Chicago from1894 until the 1920s and designed for many of Chicago's elite. His architectural designs were stylistically eclectic and often based on historical precedence. His projects are documented in this collection through drawings, photographs, correspondence, travel diaries and sketchbooks.
